A shrub or small tree native to southern Africa with small leaves and small, green flowers followed by edible, yellow fruit that remind of a sour apricot.
It is widely cultivated in warm temperate climates as an ornamental and for its fruits.
Germination: Soak seeds for 24-48 hours in lukewarm water. Sow 1cm deep in sowing mix + sand or perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 3-6 weeks.
