A mid-sized climber, widely distributed from Pakistan to southern China, Sri Lanka and Vietnam where it grows in a variety of habitats, from mountain forests to thickets and along river margins.
It has attractive, elliptical, bright green leaves and small white or yellow flowers followed by green, fleshy fruits.
Cryptolepis dubia is a valuable medicinal plant and a nice ornamental for warm-temperate and tropical areas. Germination: Sow seeds 1cm in coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 3-6 weeks.
