1 Package of 10 Seeds
A rare dwarf palm to about 2.5 m tall, native only to lowland gallery forest on the Philippine Island of Luzon.
It grows a short trunk about 8 cm in diameter that holds a small crown of ascending or arching, finely pinnate leaves. The young leaves unfold in a maroon to bright red color.
In cultivation it is best suited to a humid, tropical climate and will appreciate a protected spot under some canopy. Germinate in vitro in gelatin, agar or other medium. Pre-soak seeds for 3 days in warm water and sow in containers. Germination takes 2 to 4 months.
