A large, dry deciduous tree from dry, tropical forests in the Americas and on Hawaii.
pinnate foliage and round fruits that can be used, along with the bark of the tree as a natural substitute for soap and laundry detergents.
The seeds are edible.
Germination: Scarify and soak seeds for 24 hours in lukewarm water. Sow 1cm in coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 3-6 weeks.
