Acacia cincinnata is an evergreen tree; it can grow up to 25 metres tall in the moister areas of its range, though can be less than 10 metres tall, and sometimes only a shrub, in drier areas.
Although it produces leaves as a seedling, llike most members of the genus the mature plant does not have true leaves but has leaf-like flattened stems called phyllodes.
The tree is harvested from the wild for local use as a source of wood.
