A large shrub or small tree rarely more than 10 m tall with rough bark, yellowish green,needle-like foliage and white, bottle-brush-like flowers.
Melaleuca bracteata is widely distributed over most of Australia, where it prefers coastal regions and stream banks. It makes a robust ornamental for tropical and warm temperate climates. Germination: Light germinator! Only sprinkle on the surface of the substrate + slightly press on. Substrate: coir or sowing mix + perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 3-6 weeks.
