A dwarf succulent native to South Africa's Northern Cape Province between 300 and 900 m with thick, angled, gray leaves and attractive yellow flowers.In cultivation it does best in drier, warm temperate climates. Cheiridopsis is adapted to sparse winter rains and is dormant in summer. Germination: Cover seeds only lightly with substrate. Substrate: Coir, pure sand or sowing mix + 2/3 sand or perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet.
