A pretty shrub native to montane scrublands from the western Mediterranean to Anatolia in Turkey with laurel-like leaves and lovely, scented, white and yellow flowers.
Cistus laurifolius is considered the hardiest Rockrose and adapts well to cultivation in temperate climates in USDA Zones 7 to 9. It needs free draining soil and a place in full sun.
Germination: Sow 1cm in coir or sowing mix + perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 4-6 weeks.
