A rare, herbaceous, perennial shrub to about 1 m tall, known only from one location in the state of Mexico, where it grows in pine forests around 2500 m.
It presents elliptical leaves and delicate, light green flowers with rays of darker green, followed by small, perfectly round, dark purple to black berries that are said to be edible and tasty.
Jaltomata bohsiana is easily grown in warm temperate climates. Germination: Only sprinkle on the surface of the substrate + slightly press on. Substrate: coir or sowing mix + perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet.
