This strange Australian perennial grows in dry places, in grass and woodlands throughout southern Australia. It produces a small, unspectacular rosette of smooth, fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves that are dark green above and light-green below.
Its inflorescences , however, are very distinctive, upright, densely furry, greenish-yellow and resemble giant pussy willow flowers.
It requires well-drained soils and will do best in warm-temperate climates in USDA zones 9 and 10. Germination: Light germinator! Only sprinkle on the surface of the substrate + slightly press on. Substrate: coir or sowing mix + perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet.
