1 package of 50 seeds
A grass, usually less than 1 m tall, from shrublands and woodlands of mainly southeastern Australia.
It has hairless stalks that presents prominent, swollen nodes, rough leaves, usually covered by thin hairs and a slender, feathery, decorative flower-head with small purple flowers, which gradually turn yellowish-brown.
Prefers well drained soils and a place in full sun or partial-shade. A good selection for warm-temperate climates in USDA Zones 9 and above.
Germination: Direct sow either in late fall or early spring. Press the seed into the surface of the soil, compacting the soil very firmly. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and store in the refrigerator for 60 days before planting. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination.
