1 Package of 100 Seeds
A beautiful cyclanth found on Escudo de Veraguas, a small island off the Caribbean coast of western Panama. Very palm-like in appearance and easily mistaken for a Cryosophila for instance, it forms a slender trunk that can stand alone when smaller or usually climbs up on large trees to a height of about 15 m.
The large leaves are palmate and sport two wide lateral and central segments with several narrow segments in between these. The bright yellow, cone-like fruits emit a strong, very aromatic, ripe fruity flowery smell like sweet and sour fruits.
This plant should make a magnificent ornamental for the tropical garden. Germination: Sow 1cm in coir or sowing mix + perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet.
